Fruit and yogurt bowl

Well, let me give you a suggestion for a quick breakfast that will not only give you fuel for your body, but it will provide you with key nutrients to keep you healthy and happy. And, yes, you read right, the right food selections will lift your mood and spirit.

The calcium is necessary especially for women through out life because bone is constantly being destroyed and rebuild. After menopause, bone is destroyed faster and after age 70 both men and women have an increase of bone fractures or osteoporosis. So start banking your calcium through daily compsumption of dairy 3x daily, 8 oz, and it can be plant based, but check ingredients to make sure it meats the daily dietary guidelines for the dairy food group.


Ingredients

  • Yogurt (your choice) best 2% fat, Greek

  • Mango 1/2 cup

  • Strawberries, washed and cut

  • Blueberries, 1/4 cup , washed

  • Roasted seeds of choice (pumpkin, sunflower, or chia gel), 1 tablespoon


Method: Place the yogurt in a small bowl and top with fruit of choice and seeds.
